Shoe Prints

Me: Oh no Belle...you stepped on your seat and now it's all dirty.

Isabella: Don't worry Mom I will clean it off with my pants (wiggling around in the seat as to wipe it off)

Medicine...

Me:  Isabella, before you can do anything else today you have to take your medicine.

Isabella:  But Mommy, princesses don't take medicine.

*What was I thinking...of course they don't!

HOTEL

Isabella hasn't spent much time at hotels since it's SO much easier to travel and stay somewhere we can have a kitchen.  On a last minute trip to Mt. Charleston we stayed at a hotel and here's how the conversation went driving back from scouting sledding locations.

Isabella: Mommy, are we going back to the hotemple. 

Me: (chuckling) 

Isabella: What Mommy, isn't that what it's called, a hotemple?

LOL

Crying

Isabella:  Mommy, did you know that laughing and crying are the same?

Me: Do you mean because of the tears? 

Isabella: Yeah, I like crying and laughing.

Me: I do too...I do it with Daddy, Grandma, Aunt Katie, Aunt Lauren and some of my best friends.

AND SO WE DID and it was FUN!

Jesus

Driving home from church last night...

Isabella: Daddy, I love Jesus!

Justin: That's great Isabella, I'm glad to hear that.

Isabella: But do you think he needs help making my cough feel better?  

Me: No...he doesn't need our help with anything...life would be easier for all of us if we remembered that.

She Should Have a Hardhat!

There is quite a bit of construction happening on Highway 95 right now.  While driving Isabella to school the other day I found out just how construction savvy Isabella is becoming.

Me: Wow Isabella, look at that big crane truck over there...

Isabella: That's NOT a crane truck Mom, it's a pump truck.  

They use it to pump the cement from the truck into the ground. 

If she knew the word "DUH" or what it meant it would have followed her explanation to me for sure because that was the tone of her response.  I guess those rides to school with Daddy are proving to be quite educational.   

Sugar, Dairy, and Gluten

Well Isabella knows what she can't have and what happens if she has them.  I ate too much cake in the afternoon yesterday and it made me sick. 

Me: I ate too much cake.

Isabella: Did it have sugar, dairy or gluten?

Me: It had all of those.

Isabella: (matter of fact) Well that's why you're sick Mom, those things aren't good for you.

(A Little Later)

Isabella: Would you like some of my juice Mommy?  It doesn't have sugar, dairy or gluten...it's good for you, here try it.
