It was a rough morning full of WHINING on Monday. I was home getting Isabella ready for school by myself while Justin ran out to a meeting. After 2 hours of what seemed like NONSTOP whining, we were getting in the car to drive to school and Isabella started carrying on about how she didn't have the right color marker. She HAD to have PINK. I got her one of her pink markers but it wasn't good enough and she had to have one of MY pink markers, which I had none left. I lost it...I totally went off and told her she would get what she got and be happy with it etc.
We drove in silence, I would glance in the rear view mirror every once in a while and she would look at me and quickly look down. I finally asked her if she wanted to talk and she said "No, you're mad at me." I explained that I wasn't mad at her and that I was frustrated that she was whining and I was sorry that I lost my temper and yelled at her. She looked at me so sweetly with a HUGE smile on her face and said "It's okay Mommy, everyone makes mistakes, and I promise not to whine ANYMORE."
Well she has whined since then but I thought that her response to my apology was the sweetest thing...I love her so much!!
